UF - A Celebration of Innovation Startup Showcase
The University of Florida ranks among the nation’s leaders at transferring world-class research to partners who turn these discoveries into commercial products that make the world a better place. Through their event A Celebration of Innovation, UF offers those interested in licensing, commercializing, investing or otherwise becoming involved in getting new discoveries to the marketplace a unique opportunity to see presentations by more than a dozen early-stage startups that have commercialized life science, medical device, and cutting-edge technologies generated as a result of the more than $700 million in research conducted annually at UF.
Presenting companies include Advanced fPAT Imaging, BitCauldron, Immersed Games, MyeloJAK Biomarkers, Myolyn,peerFit, Transformair and TAO Connect.
The UF Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) has launched 157 biomedical and technology startups in the past 12 years, generating more than $1 billion in private investment. This is a testament to the collaborative relationship between UF’s world-renowned faculty generating discoveries and OTL working to bring together the elements necessary to create successful startups.
