Tinker Latin Food Opens Second Location at Tioga Town Center

Tinker Latin Food has opened their doors at Tioga Town Center. Tinker is a local, family owned & operated restaurant serving authentic Latin Street Food. Their new restaurant is located at 140 SW 128th St., Bldg. 5 Ste D, Newberry, FL 32669.

Focused on family, community, and faith, Tinker Latin Food owners, Antonella Derrico and Tinker Quevedo, are driven by a strong desire to bring a sense of home to every customer they meet. Originally from Miami, their love of food, and dream to create something truly special in the Gainesville community fueled their Food Truck beginnings in 2019. Their customer-based approach, and attention to the overall dining experience quickly inspired a fierce following, and sparked their first brick and mortar restaurant in Downtown Gainesville in 2020. Their loyal customers and growing fanbase then drove the need for a second location in the heart of Tioga Town Center in July of 2024.

Tinker Latin Food is focused on fresh, quality, authentic ingredients that are unique to the Greater Gainesville food scene. From their gluten-free arepas, vegan and vegetarian options, to their freshly-squeezed juices, their extensive menu is sure to delight all palates. Tinker’s Tioga location will offer a full menu of exquisite dishes, including breakfast, lunch, dinner entrées, appetizers, desserts, and more. Their newly renovated space is inspired by natural elements and thoughtful lighting, creating a cozy, modern atmosphere to relax and unwind. The Tioga location also offers a full bar, and beautiful shaded outdoor patio seating, that’s also pet-friendly. Tioga customers can also expect extended evening hours, as well as brunch coming soon.

We’re very grateful.”

The Tioga Town Center location will be Tinker’s second location in the Gainesville region. Their Tioga location will be open Tuesday through Sunday, serving a full menu all day long, staring initially with dinner service to begin. Tinker also offers catering, and scheduled food truck services for private events.
