Butler Announces Two New Businesses for 2022

March 9, 2022

Kendra Scott

Butler Enterprises has announced Kendra Scott is opening a pop-up shop at Butler Town Center.

The popular brand is known for its kaleidoscope of beautiful accessories, statement earrings, and innovative and customizable Color Bar™ experience. The Color Bar™ offers customers a unique and interactive opportunity to create custom jewelry in minutes.

The new boutique will be approximately 1,400 square feet next to Narcissus and Foxtail Coffee Co. The company is planning an October opening, just in time for fall festivities and holiday shopping!

In 2002, Kendra Scott, the company’s founder, and namesake began selling her first collection of accessibly-priced jewelry she designed in her spare bedroom. With her three month baby in tow, she launched a jewelry and accessories empire. Today, the Kendra Scott company has over 2,000 employees, 100 standalone stores, is sold in premiere retailers, and is valued at over $1 billion. The company has maintained three core principles through its expansion: family, fashion, and philanthropy.

The Kendra Scott pop-up store will be 2851 SW 35th Drive, Suite 30, Gainesville, FL, across from Anthropologie and next to Narcissus and Foxtail Coffee Co.

Rock N’ Roll Sushi

Butler Enterprises has announced that Rock N’ Roll Sushi is opening a second location in Gainesville at Butler North this summer.

This is not your typical sushi restaurant. 80s and 90s rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia adorns the walls, TVs play classic rock music videos, as rock music is heard over the surround sound system. You don’t just eat at Rock N’ Roll Sushi; you experience it.

“We break all the traditions of your typical sushi restaurant,” says Jim Dykes, the Gainesville franchise owner. Breaking traditions isn’t always a bad thing, especially in the case of this restaurant. Dykes explains that Rock N’ Roll Sushi’s soaring popularity is “the mix of offerings for the consummate sushi lover and for the one who doesn’t like sushi.”

The American-style sushi restaurant offers an array of classic sushi rolls, specialty rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and hibachi. Popular appetizers include edamame, Rockin’ Lobster, and homemade wontons. In addition to the hibachi section of the menu, there are also vegetarian options.

The “Headliners” or Signature rolls include the VIP Roll (shrimp tempura, krab stick, cream cheese, Cajun-seasoned crawfish, baked krab meat, jalapeno, spicy mayo, sweet chili, eel sauce, and crunchy flakes), the Jam Sesh Roll (Yellowtail tuna, spicy mayo, red tuna, krab stick, sweet chili, eel sauce, and sesame seeds), and the baked Tour Bus Roll (spicy tuna, krab stick, cream cheese topped with seared filet mignon, jalapeño, spicy mayo, sweet chili, eel sauce, sriracha, and crunchy flakes).

“We knew we needed to be in Butler Plaza on our first visit to Gainesville, but unfortunately, there wasn’t any space available,” says Jim Dykes. “We opened in Newberry and continued to keep in touch. Finally, we were able to secure a location. We are very excited to be opening Rock N’ Roll Sushi at the premier retail development in Florida!”

Rock N’ Roll Sushi will be located at 3205 Clark Butler Boulevard, Suite 50, Gainesville, FL 32608, next to Tijuana Flats in Butler North. Rock N’ Roll Sushi is targeting an open date in late summer of 2022.
